Ticket Central sells tickets to hundreds of events each year. The following policies help us to ensure a great experience for all of our patrons.

Payment Options
Ticket Central accepts payments in cash, check and credit cards (American Express, Mastercard, VISA).
Discounts
We offer discounts to NC State students and employees, senior citizens and large groups. Learn more about discounts.
Refunds
We do not offer refunds for ticket purchases. In the event of a show’s cancellation, we will exchange or refund tickets.
Exchanges
Free exchanges are available as a special benefit to NC State LIVE series subscribers and University Theatre season subscribers. All other exchanges will incur a $2 exchange fee per ticket.
Exchanges must be handled at the Ticket Central office during normal business hours, no later than 48 hours in advance of the performance date printed on your ticket. We will not do exchanges the night of the performance.
Tickets purchased online with Tickets.com are not exchangeable.
No money will be refunded for tickets of lesser value. Customer must pay the difference for higher value tickets.
For contract performances, ticket exchange policy varies.
Reservations
No unpaid reservations are accepted. Payment must be made at the time an order is placed. Orders received less than ten (10) calendar days prior to the performance will be held in reservations to be picked up at will call the night of the performance.
Service Fees
A $4 handling charge (per order) will be placed on all phone, fax, mail and online orders. There is a $25 dollar charge for all returned checks.
Sales Tax
Ticket Central will assess and remit a 7.25% tax on every ticket to the state of North Carolina.
Accessibility Requests
Arts NC State performances, exhibitions and classes are accessible to people of all abilities. Wheelchair seating is available in all theaters. Please, call the box office for more information on accessible requests at 919.515.1100.
Children
Parents should exercise discretion deciding which events are appropriate for their children. Regardless of age, everyone must have a ticket. Please, no babes-in-arms.
Late Seating
Late seating is not guaranteed and may or may not occur at the discretion of the theatre staff. There is no late seating for performances in Thompson Hall.
Waiting Lists
Waiting lists will be offered beginning one hour prior to sold-out, general admission performances. You must be present to put your name on the waiting list. Seats not filled fifteen minutes prior to curtain will be released to the people on the waiting list.
Cell Phones and Pagers
All mobile phones and pagers must be silenced before entering the theatre. Please no text messaging!
Cameras and Recording Devices
No cameras or recording devices of any kind are permitted in the theatres during a performance.
